Are all gel and AGM batteries deep cycle?
I think there are gel and AGM batteries that are dual-purpose and can be used for both starting and deep-cycle applications, but is there such a thing as a gel or AGM battery that is intended for use only as a starting battery and cannot withstand being fully discharged?
You are correct. deep cycle batteries can be dischared hundreds of times and returned to a full charge condition. Do not attemt to do it on a gel automobile battery.
