my pathfinder battery is dead. what setting should i set the battery charger to

12v 40 amp
also how long should it charge for

I always use 10amp or lower. So for example a 90AH battery would take ~9 hours to fully charge at that rate. Higher rates will charge the battery faster, but there is a danger that the plates in the battery will buckle.
