OMG!!!! I almost died when I got my electricity bill?
I just got my electricity bill today. It was 274.35 for a one bedroom apartment. It says I used 1,223 kWh at 0.14416 kWh fixed energy rate and 1,223 kWh at 0.0601 market edge whatever that means. I thought I was doing pretty good.
1. Low flow shower head at less than one gallon a minute.
2. Thermostat set at a whopping 85 degrees.
3. Two fans, one in living room and one in bedroom. Continuously running which I will probably adjust.
Things I can’t live without.
1. 42 inch plasma screen tv. (its on alot)
2. Laptop computer (its also on alot)
Did notice my fridge tends to run alot but I didn’t think that much.
Am I missing something here? What can I do to get this bill down to around 100 bucks a month? I use TXU in Houston TX. Is my bill somehow tied to the oil and gas prices?
