Can I Join the Army as a Ranger and then join Counter intelligence? How long would that take?
What would look better if I was trying to get in the CIA or FBI as a special agent, Counter intelligence in the Army or Marines or something or Being part of a elite unit like Special Forces/Ranger/Green Beret/Navy Seal/Marsoc/ or even DELTA FORCE?
Also im a licensed EMT and I have a double major Physics/Psychology and im close to getting a bachelors degree, would this help to in getting in to the CIA or FBI? Also I get good grades, right now I have a 3.045.
You may be better off going straight into the CIA or FBI – both recruit directly. The dual majors will definitely help with them, as well as with the NSA. CIA was looking for clinical (i.e. PhD) psychologists last year. Grades will help as well.
Green Beret = Special Forces. Delta is by invitation only, and you’d better be really good at what you do. If you go in as an intelligence analyst, you could very well also be in any of the elite units above (unless you’re a woman) and then get a spot in the CIA/FBI. Don’t do counter-intel, you’ll spend your days making sure units didn’t leave classified material in the garbage.
