How can I connect multiple 12v deep cycle batteries to an inverter charger system?
I need to connect multiple 12v deep cycle batteries to an inverter charger system to get a longer run time on my computer equipment during power outages. I want to be able to isolate each battery so that the I/C system can perform it’s equalization function (only allowed for one battery @ a time). I would also like to be able to “quick disconnect/ connect” the batteries. I would like to achieve this goal on a budget of $75 or less.
The $75 is just for wiring, quick disconnects, etc. I already have batteries and a Tripp Lite 2000w inverter/ charger. Also I am located in Costa Rica, so I don’t have access to a “Home Depot” type hardware store, an RV store, or any really good marine supply stores.
Your budget sounds a little short to me. You will pay about $75.00 just for the battery. You can buy battery connectors with a wing nut on them for a relatively quick and easy connect/disconnect. A lot of this depends on how handy you are. Check with a battery shop or RV dealer or boat dealer. I’m sure they will be happy to help you.
