How can I find out if my batteries are really being charged?
I bought some rechargeable AA and AAA batteries on eBay (hong kong). I charged them with my Energizer 15 min charger but using my Radio Shack Analog batteries tester, they are not charged fully. They have about 65 % charge on them after leaving it on the charger for a couple hours. I want to know what I can use to get an accurate reading of the amount charged.

The best practice is to SLOW charge the batteries the first charge (ie 8hrs-12hrs min) then use them. You will find that they won’t reach full capactiy in many cases until you have used them four or five times. You really do need more than a couple of hours of initial charge. After that you can use the rapid charger.
At least that has been my experience with Ni-MH cells. Also note that many of the RS checkers are made for standard AA batteries which are 1.5v batteries so your Ni-MH 1.2v cells may not show the full level if your tester isn’t set up for recharge cells! I use a volt meter to see the actual voltage when fully charged it usually will show 1.25-1.3 volts on Ni-MH cells.
